FIJI football’s golden boy Roy Krishna believes nothing is more important to him than representing his country against international teams.

Krishna arrived in the country last night to be part of the Bula Boys as they gear up against Solomon Islands in an international friendly match tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The Wellington Phoenix player said he was ready to don the national jumper against the Solomons tomorrow.

“I’m happy to be back at home and it’s an honour to represent Fiji especially playing alongside some new boys in the team,” Krishna said.

Krishna will also have the opportunity to play alongside Fiji-born England-based defender Scott Wara tomorrow.

“I’ve heard a lot about him and I’m excited to play alongside the young defender.

“The coach knows him well and with his calibre as a defender he will definitely boost the morale of other defenders in the team,” Krishna said.

Meanwhile, Fiji football coach Christophe Gamel said, a combination of young players and some matured reps would be a learning experience for the new players.

“It’s always a boost to have our golden boy Roy in the team and his background will help the young players,” Gamel said.

“For these young boys the main thing is to train them mentally on how to control the game and not to stress themselves mentally, so the availability of Roy in the attacking line and Wara in the defence line will definitely help the new boys in the game.

The Bula Boys will take on the Solomon Islands at 7.00pm at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
