THE Republic of the Fiji Military Forces will be restructuring its Chaplaincy department.

RFMF Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto said this would see the inclusion of a psychologist within the department.

“As far as the support services we provide with the RFMF, we are restructuring our chaplaincy department and through that department, we should be able to provide services of a psychologist,” Commander Naupoto said.

He said the services would not only be limited to those returning from peacekeeping duties.

“Not only for soldiers that return but also for the families to deal with the trauma if they need to talk to them.”

Commander Naupoto added with this chaplaincy department, they would be looking at ways to improve the support they provided to the families of peacekeepers who were away on duty.
