THE Rewa football camp was in high spirits yesterday after they thumped Labasa 2-0 during their Vodafone Premier League match at Subrail Park yesterday.

Rewa bagged their first goal in the 44th minute through Sione Lutu before sealing their victory with a second goal to Taione Kerevanua in the last minute of the second half.

Rewa won 2-0.

Labasa coach Nilesh Lal said even though they lost, their players remained with high hopes.

Lal said they had lost seven players and they were in the process of rebuilding the team for future matches.

“It will take time for the players to combine well,” he said.

“This is not the end of the road for us and we have high hopes this season.

“We earned a point from our match against Suva yesterday(Saturday). We are on fourth position on the points table.”

Rewa interim coach Lorima Dau was happy with his side’s sterling performance.

Dau said they now earned one point from their match against Dreketi and three from the win against Labasa.

“We will be playing Tavua next week,” he said.

In other results, Suva drew with Dreketi 1-all, Ba lost to Nadi 1-2, Tavua 0-0 Lautoka.
