Rewa secondary schools footie competition begins

THE Rewa Secondary School Football competition kicked off its first round of matches in the Under 19 grade today at the Bhawani Dayal Arya College ground in Nakasi.

Four U19 teams from the district of Rewa will battle for the top two spots to qualify for the national playoffs in Nadi later in the year.

National U19 champions Baulevu High School defeated Nakasi High School 2-0, while Bhawani Dayal beat Vunimono High School 3-0 today in the first rounds of the competition.

The U15 grade is expected to start on Friday followed by the U17 grade.
