DISCIPLINE cost Rewa the match against Dreketi in the Vodafone Fiji FACT, says coach Marika Rodu. Rewa midfielder Josateki Tamudu was red carded in the first half after a violent behaviour against Dreketi’s Anish Khem. Rewa was reduced to 10-man following the incident and Rewa hada hard time trying to find the goal against Dreketi’s stubborn defence.

“The indiscipline in the beginning was the contributing factor in the draw. It was also tough to play in the tough condition up front,” Rodu said.

“We started the match slowly and Dreketi started well in the match and it was the second round and they also had chances of qualifying to the semi-finals. “Dreketi was hard to beat especially playing with 10 man in the match.”

Rewa striker Setareki Hughes, midfielder Taione Kerevanua and Epeli Saukuru made attempts at Rewa goalmouth, but Rewa goalkeeper Petero Tamaniabo cancelled all the threat at their goalmouth.

“We have to come out strongly against Nadi as the group is wide open and we have to win after getting one point from the match.” Rewa plays Labasa today
