THE death of resort worker Asbin Nair has been classified as murder. This has been confirmed by police. The classification was made after the completion of the post-mortem examination.
The 48-year-old had left his Olosara, Sigatoka, home last Wednesday to visit a friend.
His wife Urmila Wati said the family had waited for his return because he said he would be out for an hour only. His body was later discovered some metres away from his home later that night.
The deceased had visible injuries and was rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He was a member of the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort engineering team. Investigations into the case are continuing.
