19 venues will host sporting events during the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.

APIA, 20 AUGUST 2018 (RNZ PACIFIC) – 19 venues will host sporting events during the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa, with renovations to begin next month.

27 different sports will feature in July, with Don Bosco School Hall in Savai’i to host boxing while the remaining 26 disciplines will be held in and around Apia.

The site for the new multi-sport complex, the aquatic centre, Apia Park and tennis courts will be handed over to the Chinese Government on September the third, with all works due to be completed in May next year.

All remaining venues will be upgraded by the Samoan Government.
