THE Fiji Times and the organisers of the Raka 7s tournament today launched their partnership for this year’s competition.
While launching the partnership with The Fiji Times editor in chief Fred Wesley, tournament director Ropate Kauvesi said the team up would help promote the event to Fijians locally and abroad.
“Raka 7s commends the partnership with The Fiji Times last year,” Kauvesi said.
“This year, we are going plastic-free again and we are looking at an exciting and bigger tournament, which will be at the ANZ Stadium in Suva from November 30 to December 1.”
Wesley said The Fiji Times was delighted to join the tournament because it helped solve some environmental issues such as the use of plastic bags.
Registration is still open.
Sixty-four men’s and 20 women’s teams, including some from abroad, are expected to participate.
