Ra takes leading role in protecting their natural resources

I YAUBULA Day marks an important milestone for the Ra province that has taken the lead in protecting their natural resources, says iTaukei Affairs Ministry permanent secretary Naipote Katonitabua.

While opening the event in Ra yesterday, Mr Katonitabua said the province had an abundance of resources that was one of the reasons for raising awareness on its protection.

He said the recent recognition of the Vatu-i-Ra passage Natural Park was an important milestones of environmental protection in the region.

The event will be officially closed by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama today.
