Potholes

Now the FRA could change their warning from expect more potholes to beware of potholes.

It has been there and everywhere.

Left, right and centre.

HK 7s

We celebrate with the nation our sevens rugby win in HK but the worrying thing is that the SA A team coached by Neil Powell and the development team coached by Marius Schoeman have both almost beat our A team. SA has shown us that consistency is the name of the game. Despite only winning one venue (to our three) they still lead the points table.

The lowest they’ve reached is a bronze medal win not fifth place.

Helping hand

Whenever there is a hurricane or a flood, everyone gets united and try their best to help each other. I wish we can do the same in good times.

Passion for job

I was admitted in Labasa Hospital on 5/4/2018 and I could see the passion for their work and compassion for their patients by the doctors in the hospital as they treated patients in a professional manner.

Thank you Dr Nadani Nalini and other doctors who treated me.

Vast universe

“He hath made the Earth by his power, He hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by His discretion”.

“When He uttereth His voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and cause the vapours to ascend from the ends of the Earth; He maketh the lightning with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures”.

Look around you and see how vast is the universe, God is indeed powerful.

Flood time

Floods come and go. This year it is Ba, last was Nadi. Next year, who knows?

We are told to prepare, when TD strengthens to TC.

But I believe what Government does not tell us is what it is doing in regards to flood prevention measures to arrest surging rivers that are making life hell for lots of the same people in the same places? Is there a master plan in place which will see these disasters a thing of the past in the not too distant future? Nausori used to be the Ba and Nadi of years back; now no longer, I believe, because of extensive engineering works. Maybe we should stop going to climate change talkfests and start figuring out how to soften its impact on our population.
