THE quarter-finals of the Fiji Muslim Sports Association Inter District Championship has been postponed to a later date.
The association’s chairman Javed Ahmed said they were forced to complete the pool games late on Saturday night at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
“The pool games are completed and we now have to schedule the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
“We will hold a meeting on Tuesday to decide on the date and venue for the event.”
In the quarter-finals Nadi will face Nasinu, Ba will play Varavu, Meigunyah will play Navua and Drasa will clash with Rewa.
Meanwhile defending champion Ba is through to the quarter-finals of the Then India Valibar (TIV) Sangam Football Championship. Ba with the likes of Roneel Kumar, Shanil Naidu, Shamil Rao and Kishan Sami are favourites for the title. Rifle Range will be a threat with the services of Don Raj and Kelvin Naidu.
Lautoka with Zibraaz Sahib has also qualified for the quarter-final.
TIV secretary Mun Sami Chetty said the pool matches would be completed before the quarter-finals would be announced.
