Quake shakes Tonga

Update: 4:10PM A 5.3 MAGNITUDE earthquake occurred in the Tonga region this afternoon.
The Seismology Unit of the Department of Mineral Resources reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10km at 1:50pm.
It was registered at 171km East from Nukualofa, Tonga; 426km Southwest from Alofi, Niue and 873km South Southeast from Suva, Fiji.
The department noted that this seismic activity did not pose an immediate threat to the Fiji region.
