COMMUNITIES affected by last week’s floods have been advised to take extra precaution.
Commissioner Western Manasa Tagicakibau said with the weather expected to worsen this weekend, district officers have been directed to advise village headmen and rural advisory counsellors on how to prepare their communities.
Mr Tagicakibau, in a meeting yesterday with Government agencies and representative of the Fiji National Provident Fund, discussed the progress of different operations. First responders have also been advised to prepare their families for inclement weather over the next few days.
