Protect yourself from MenC

Update: 1:07PM THE Ministry of Health and Medical Services strongly encourages everyone to take simple steps to protect themselves and their loved ones from the meningococcal disease as it still a rare disease in Fiji.

It has urged members of the public to be alert for the signs and symptoms of meningococcal disease and to go immediately to the nearest health facility if you or your loved ones have any of these symptoms; and

Also practice good hygiene to help prevent the spread of the bacteria.

Meanwhile the Ministry has released the revised Meningococcal Disease Public Health Management Guideline to all medical practitioners in Fiji. 

This is to ensure they have access to the latest information and guidance for the clinical management of patients, and the public health response in communities during this outbreak.
