TWO diplomats were farewelled by President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote and his wife Sarote at the Borron House in Suva yesterday.

Luke Daunivalu and Yogesh Punja are Fiji’s new high commissioners to Australia and India, respectively.

Prior to their diplomatic appointment, Mr Daunivalu was Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of Fiji to the United Nations, while Mr Punja was Fiji’s High Commissioner to Australia before his appointment as Fiji’s High Commissioner to India.

Both the diplomats are looking forward for their new roles and will be leaving for their respective missions soon.

The President passed on his well wishes to both the diplomats.
