A FAULT at the Wailoa Hydro Power Station was the cause of a power disruption in Viti Levu at yesterday afternoon.
Energy Fiji Limited Chief Executive Officer Hasmukh Patel confirmed this saying they started restoring power supply using the backup diesel
generators around Viti Levu.
He said power supply was restored to most of the affected customers in the Western and Central Divisions of Viti Levu by 5:30pm and power supply was fully restored after 6pm.
“EFL sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused to all our valued customers which is beyond our control.”
