LIFE is about living every moment despite the challenges that the athlete faces says Fiji’s 200 metres runner Aaron Powell.

Powell, 22, clocked a time of 22.05 seconds in the 200m heat three. He was the last to complete the race.

After the race he came to the media zone and sat down for a while and said, “I gave my best.”

“I enjoyed the race and it was a good experience to come and expose myself in such a competition,” he said.

“I will go and work on my weaknesses.

“It is the best thing to test yourself with the best runners in the world and it would tell you where you stand and what else you need to do.”

Powell said one should not be discouraged in life, but take all the positivity from the difficult situations.

“There are no excuses from my side. We all have to do our part and at times we fall short and face obstacles along the way, but it is not the end of the journey,” he said.
