Police seek ID information on alleged murder victim

FIJIAN Police are appealing for public assistance in identifying a young iTaukei man believed to be a victim of an alleged murder.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said investigators needed to identify the victim before a post-mortem examination could be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
She said the alleged murder took place after 10pm on Thursday night at the Suva foreshore.
“Two men who were nearby found the victim lying in a pool of blood. Earlier, the victim had passed one of the eyewitness accompanied by another youth,” Ms Naisoro said.
“The victim is an iTaukei male believed to be in his 20s and was wearing light blue shorts and a red Naitasiri rugby jersey.
“If anyone has any information that could assist our investigators identify the victim or may have seen anything please call the ASP Crime Totogo on 9905646.”
