LABASA Police are investigating the alleged assault of a six-year-old boy who is believed to have subsequently sustained serious injuries in the process.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the alleged incident happened in Savusavu on Vanua Levu in which two boys, both 13 year olds, allegedly assaulted the young boy.
However, Police said the details of the alleged incident remained unclear at this stage.

Meanwhile, Police have also received post mortem examination results of the farmer who died in a road accident in Labasa early this week.
Ms Naisoro confirmed that 61-year-old Surendra died as a result of injuries sustained during motor vehicle accident.
“The driver allegedly involved will be brought in for questioning,” she said.
