Police HQ Wives set to defend volleyball title

POLICE Headquarter (HQ) Wives Volleyball Team look set to defend their volleyball title as they won their opening pool games yesterday at the Fiji Police Special Response Unit (PSRU) in Nakasi.

With 39 teams from all over the nation, the Police Wives Volleyball and Netball tournament began their two day tournament with over 100 players and spectators present to partake and watch proceedings at the PSRU drill square.

The annual Police wives volleyball and netball tournaments are part of the build-up process as teams are finalised towards the Police and Republic of Fiji Military Forces highly contested Sukuna Bowl Tournament in November.

Police HQ won their first pool game against Lautoka II straight sets (15-8, 15-6) and their second against Eastern Division HQ two sets to one (15-7, 5-15, 15-12) to qualify for the next round.
