Police await lab results of food flavour allegedly mixed in brew

POLICE are still waiting for the laboratory results of the food flavour that was alleged to have been added to the brewed alcohol consumed by two youths who died in Suva last weekend.
Fiji Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed this today and no further details could be provided.
The two deceased persons – Mateasi Tumaitoga and his friend Menusi – were rushed to the CWM hospital last Friday and were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit where they later died.
Tuimaitoga’s family had earlier confirmed to The Fiji Times last Sunday that the two were drinking at their home at Kilikali Settlement in Nasinu last Thursday.
The two are in their 20s.
