PNG thumps Cricket Fiji

THE Fiji cricket side was thumped by eight wickets by Papua New Guinea today at the ICC T20 EAP Qualifier in Suva today.

In one of the fastest match of the tournament, Fiji was all bowled out for 31 runs in 12.5 over.

PNG easily reached the target in 3.2 overs losing two wickets.

Peni Vuniwaqa of Fiji was the only Fijian batsman to score runs in double figures (11).

All other Fijian batsmen were bowled out even before scoring more than five runs.

Fiji had earlier lost to Vanuatu today by 37 runs.

Fiji’s next match is against Samoa at 1.30pm tomorrow.
