PM and Health Minister visit Navesau Adventist High

Update: 1:49PM FIJI’S Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama together with Minister for Health and Medical Services Rosy Akbar are visiting Navesau Adventist High School in Tailevu today.

The school was recently closed after six students were believed to have contracted the life-threatening meningococcal disease.

A medical team from the ministry was scheduled to administer the vaccination to students who had received consent from their parents.

Students will be vaccinated with the quadrivalent ACWY conjugate vaccine (menactra).
