PLEASS Global Ltd held its first-ever annual general meeting today.
And company chairperson Warwick Pleass said this AGM was special because it was their first since the opening of their new processing facility at Namosi.
“Especially because FNPF is a major shareholder and we think that through the membership of a lot of Fijians in the fund, we’d like to maintain our profits and its distribution to our shareholders because our profits stay in Fiji and it finally turns up in the pockets of the working people of Fiji,” Mr Pleass said.
He said it was also a chance for shareholders to see their new facility in action with the production lines running.
The AGM was followed by the handover of a company donation of $150,000 to Rotary Pacific Water for Life Foundation (RPWLF) to help in its clean water projects.
The company’s AGM was attended by company’s board members, shareholders and shareholder representatives, bankers and reps of the RPWLF at their new facility in Nabukavesi, Namosi, this morning.
