Pan Pacific Swimming Championship: Fiji 100m duo to feature in B final

TWO Fijians will feature in the B final of the 100m men’s breaststroke this afternoon at the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championship underway in Suva.

In the heats this morning, Thomas Liebregts clocked 1 minute 10.93 seconds while Sam Yalimaiwai finished his race in 1 minute 11.08 seconds.

Another Fijian, Jayzon Requina, just missed out on the finals finishing in a time of 1 minute 12.15seconds.

USA’s Daniel Roy clocked the best time in the heats finishing in a time of 1 minute 2.35 seconds.

None of the Fijian swimmers were able to qualify in the finals of the women’s 100m Breaststroke and Freestyle events from the heats this morning.

The finals begin at 5pm at the National Aquatic Centre in Suva.
