MEMBERS of the public in Lautoka are advised that the Paipai 1 crossing located on Vakabuli Indian School Road (Vitogo Paipai Road) in Lautoka will be temporarily closed from today for maintenance works.
The Fiji Roads Authority said the crossing needed a permanent upgrade of the approaches, which would ensure the crossing was immediately accessible after flood events.
The authority has also advised motorists to plan their travel and use alternative access via Drasa Cemetery Road.
The crossing is expected to be reopened on Monday morning.
