MEMBERS of the public can expect a range of beauty and talent at this year’s Vodafone Hibiscus Festival which starts this Friday at the Valelevu grounds.

Four queen contestants, Miss FijiCare Lice Yacadra, Miss Superdrug Pharmacy Christine Prasad and Miss Pasifika Tents and Supplies Rayshal Nath and Ashna Dorees (without a sponsor yet), are urging the public to come in numbers and support them as they advocate on issues facing the Pacific.

Miss Yacadra said she would be advocating on women empowerment while Miss Dorees, a Fiji National University student, said she would use the platform to promote environment conservation.

Miss Prasad says she will speak on human rights and climate change which was an issue she was passionate about.

Miss Nath said her message at this year’s pageant would be on minimising single used plastics through people’s initiative.
