THE Lautoka football side can secure a spot in next year’s OFC Champions League this weekend if they beat Ba in the Vodafone Premier League.

Lautoka has 24 points after 11 matches and one more win will not only ensure a spot in the regional competition but will also see Lautoka retain the VPL title.

Competition for second place is expected to go down to the wire with Suva, Nadi, Ba and Labasa all tied on 15 points.

Ba would have the best chance as they have played only nine games compared to the 11 by other teams.

In matches this week, Ba plays Lautoka at Govind Park at 3pm on Saturday.

Three matches begin at 3pm on Sunday. Nadi plays Rewa at Prince Charles Park, Tavua hosts Suva at Garvey Park while Dreketi faces Ba at Govind Park.
