THE Vodafone Fiji U19 Team has already played two build-up matches out of the four scheduled for this Melbourne Tour in preparation for OFC U19 Championship in Tahiti next month.

In the first game, Fiji came from a 2-0 deficit to win the first match 3-2 against VMSA All Stars.

On Tuesday night, the team went down 3-0 to Melbourne Victory.

Head coach Bal Sanju Reddy said the team faced a tough clash.

“We have played two games and it is a good build-up for the OFC play-offs both teams we played were very competitive,” Reddy said.

“The games have given me chance to see the combination amongst the players and also see the mistakes that the players make.

“These games are high-intensity games similar to the ones that we will play during OFC play-off.

“We have two more games left before we can get our best players for the play off.”
