Listen to this article:

A NOTICE of discontinuance on an application to stop the deportation of six South Korean nationals has been granted by the High Court in Lautoka.

This follows the release last night of Jung Young Kim, Beomseop Shin, Sung Jin Lee, Byeongjoon Lee, Chul Na and Jin Sook Yoon.

Their lawyer, Ronald Gordon, filed the notice of discontinuance this morning before Justice Anare Tuilevuka.

The defendants – Director of Immigration, Commissioner of Police and Commissioner of Fiji Corrections Services – were represented by State lawyer Preetika Prasad.
