North’s best battle

DESPITE the bad weather experienced in the North early this year, students from 10 schools in the Northern Division were able to bring out their best during the Macuata Zone One last week.

Macuata Zone One co-ordinator Shavneel Chand said the respective schools had their own sprinters who added icing on the cake during the meet.

“All schools came out and presented their best on the tracks and field events,” he said.

Chand said every year the schools look forward to the Coca-Cola Games.

“This zone one meet is something big for school’s in this zone because this is a way for them to qualify for next month’s Coke Games,” he said.

“We have seen a lot of good athletes and Nadogo have once again proven to us that they still are the best and from here we will try and encourage schools to bring out some good athletes so we can at least have some top guns from schools in the North at the Coca-Cola Games,” he said.
