BUS services Fiji-wide will be suspended today for the safety of its passengers and drivers.
Fiji Bus Operators Association general secretary Rohit Latchan confirmed this last night after discussions with the Minister for Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu.
Mr Latchan said bus services would resume once the National Disaster Management Office, in consultation with bus operators, gave the clear.
Meanwhile, all civil servants other than those delivering essential services have also been advised not to attend to work today because of the adverse weather caused by Tropical Cyclone Keni.
In a statement released by Government yesterday, civil servants are advised to keep listening to the radio for updates.
The Ministry of Education will also assess the situation to determine whether schools will open tomorrow.
