THE Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) will be carrying out pavement reconstruction and surfacing works on the Queens Rd in Lami Town.
And the FRA has advised members of the travelling public that as a result of these works, the main highway in Lami Town will be closed nightly from 8pm to 5am daily from Sunday, September 2, to Wednesday, September 12.
A statement from the FRA stated that each night, traffic would be diverted through the side streets of Lami Town with clearly set out detour routes in place to guide motorists.
“In addition to this planned reconstruction, pre-works will begin under Stop/Go traffic management starting from tomorrow Tuesday, 28th August 2018 from 8pm till 5am. During this time, traffic will be reduced to single lane with maximum of 10 minute delays allowed,” the FRA stated.
Members of the public are requested to strictly adhere to the traffic management signage in place to ensure the safety of other motorists and workmen alike.
