WITH the election date soon to be set, National Federation Party (NFP) leader Professor Biman Prasad says the party has been well in advance in their planning.
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama recently appealed to Fijians to get registered and exercise their democratic right to vote because the election date would soon be released.
Prof Prasad said the party had always known that the poll would be held anytime between May and November which was why they had been thoroughly preparing for it.
“We are ready,” he said. “I don’t think it will be a surprise for us because we are ready, our plan is pretty much on target.”
“Our provisional candidates are working very hard and we will be ready whenever the election is held.”
Prof Prasad said this was also a crucial time for the media in the country.
