A NEW road that leads to respective villages in Toga in Rewa will soon be constructed.
This was highlighted by the Fiji Roads Authority divisional rep Central and Eastern divisions Jese Morgan at the Rewa Provincial Council meeting that was held at Burebasaga village in Rewa last week.
The need for a new bridge came in light after a concerned district rep from Noco raised his concern with regards to the old bridge that was always flooded during rainy seasons.
Mr Morgan said they had sighted the new place for the construction of a new bridge as well as the new road that would lead to those villages.
“The road that leads to Toga in Rewa will be shifted. Our engineers have actually visited the site where we are planning to construct a new road to Toga,” he said.
“We have seen it, after the construction of the roads that is currently underway within the Nausori-Nasinu corridor, we will then begin road works and the construction of the bridge.”
