New allowance for registered village nurses effective August

ALL registered village nurses will start receiving an allowance of $75 a month by August this year.Ministry of iTaukei Affairs permanent secretary Naipote Katonivere confirmed this during a talanoa session led by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama at the Tailevu Provincial Council meeting held at Nauluvatu Village in Tailevu today.
Tailevu South village nurse president Nanise Cakaunitabua had asked for an update on the allowance of village nurses.

Mr Katonivere responded saying it was now part of his ministry’s budget, which would be paid out to village nurses in August for the new 2018/2019 financial year.
