SELINA Dakuwaqa was overcome with emotion when Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama commissioned Naseyani Primary School’s brand new $224,000 dining hall yesterday.
The head teacher said it was good to have proper eating facilities two years after the previous eating room was demolished by Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Mrs Dakuwaqa said the students had been eating in their recently-rebuilt classrooms in the interim.
“Our school was one of the worst hit during TC Winston,” she said.
“Since then, the school has been able to get back on its feet with the help of the Government.”
