FIJI Warriors coach Senirusi Seruvakula reminded students of Draiba Primary School to never give up on their dreams.
The team visited the school yesterday as part of their Legacy Program.
Seruvakula and his team were welcomed by the school and were treated to some light refreshment while taking time to mingle with the students.
Seruvakula told the students the story about the life of Waisale Serevi and how his passion for rugby grew while they attended Delainamasi Primary School.
“Serevi is one year older than me, but is shorter than us and whenever he comes to school he is always in the field playing rugby and he never concentrated in school. From primary school we saw his passion for sports grow until when he dropped off in high school to concentrate in sports and look where he is now,” he said.
“We all have different dreams and whatever we plan won’t go according to what God has planned for us.
“But one thing that we all should remember is to never give up in life and for us that have the talent we must also concentrate on our school work.”
He said life in Fiji nowadays was hard and parents had to struggle to put food on the table.
“We must live our life and one day you could also be sitting here like these players and giving advice to young children like you.”
He added they will try their best to retain the World Rugby Pacific Challenge cup for the fourth time and dedicate it to all the students to remember to work hard and achieve their dream.
