SUVA-based Multiple Intelligence School has potential netball players who could become Fiji Pearls in future says coach Salote Bainivalu.
The school was competing in the Suva Primary Schools Netball Association competition at the LICI Multipurpose court in Laucala Bay, Suva yesterday.
Bainivalu said the team would improve as the competition progresses in the season.
“It is the first time our school is competing in the Suva Primary Schools Netball Association competition and the players are excited to be part of the competition,” Bainivalu said.
“MIS is still a developing team.
“We played our fourth round of competition and we have seen a lot of positivity from the players though we are still developing as a team.
“The four weeks of competition gave an opportunity as a team to improve and we have seen changes in how the team plays.”
The school fielded two teams in the under-13 and under-11 grades.
“We entered late into the competition, but the organisers were lenient to us and they have accepted us and it took the team two weeks to prepare,” she said.
“The parents played a big role in preparing the team for the competition.”
