SPORTSWEAR company Beyond Limits Known (BLK) has come to the rescue to be the official sponsor of officials and referees uniforms at the Ram Sami-sponsored Nasinu 7s.
The tournament will start tomorrow at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
The top try scorers in the men’s and women’s competition will also get a BLK branded footwear.
BLK director commercial and marketing Liga Gukisuva said the worth of gift was over $2500.
“We come to support the Nasinu Rugby Football Union with the production of the uniforms for officials and referees,” he said.
“BLK is proud to be part of rugby development in Fiji.”
“The theme for the tournament is to fight non-communicable diseases (NCD) and I thank BLK for coming on board as the sponsors,” Nasinu Rugby Football Union secretary Jone Tukana said.
“I know referees play an important part on the field with BLK sponsoring their attire, it speaks volume itself.”
“We had extended the spot for the men’s team from 32 to 36 teams because of the high demands from interested clubs while we will have 12 women’s team.
“We have Police, Uprising, First Light Taveuni and Fijiana are the top teams in the tournament.
We also have the China men’s and women’s teams, a Tuvalu development side as part of the competition.”
The winner will pocket $5000.
