Nasinu football leads senior league points table

THE Nasinu football side has taken the lead on the Vodafone Senior League points table after Northland Tailevu failed to turn up for its match today.

The win by default takes Nasinu onto 24 points while previous leaders Lami were shocked to a 1-nil defeat by Navua.

Abdul Faraaz scored the winner in the second half in a match where Navua’s Munit Chand and Lami’s Nickel Chand were shown red cards for foul play.

Lami sits on the second spot with 22 points followed by Nadroga with 18.

In another match played today, Tailevu Naitasiri and Nadroga played to a 1-all draw.
