Naliva perpares for toughest fight; Weekend boxing fixtures

SOROKOBA boxer Savenaca Naliva is preparing for one of his toughest fights when he faces evergreen Opeti Tagi in the Canada Fiji Southern Boxing Promotion on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

The son of the late Fijian boxing champion, Filimoni Naliva, will be out to maintain his unbeaten run on home soil after losing his only one fight to Samoa’s Jordan Tuigamala in Apia back in 2014.

He has won his eight fights and drew one since his debut fight in 2011.

Tagi, on the other hand, has won 19 fights and lost 15.

The duo will feature in the main supporting bout of Fiji’s Siliveni Nawai and New Zealand’s Beau O’Brien World Boxing Foundation title contest scheduled at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park.

Naliva’s younger brother Filimoni Naliva Junior will also feature in the program against Robert Antonio.
