FORMER secondary schoolboy sprinter Waisake Raselala will spearhead Nailaga’s campaign against Grand Pacific Hotel Ba River Bluez in the final of the Ba rugby union club game this afternoon.
The former Sila Central College track king was in top form in last week’s semi-final against Sorokoba — scoring two tries to help his team win the Elisha Engineering Shield.
Nailaga will be banking on Raselala’s blistering speed to beat his opponents like he did against Sorokoba in the semi-final.
Raselala’s coach Jerry Tuwai said his team was looking forward to an exciting encounter against the Bluez.
He said the win against Sorokoba had inspired his side to produce in the final.
“We are looking forward to the final and we are confident of a good outing,” said Tuwai.
“The boys are hopeful of maintaining their semi-final form against Sorokoba to defeat Ba River in their last game of the season.
“We have come a long way and we will give all the gas left in the tank in this final.”
Tuwai said his players had been urged to save the best for the last.
“This is our last club game for this year and we want to finish our campaign on a high note.”
“Ba River will also want to win this final after losing out the Challenge Shield early in the year to Sorokoba.”
The much anticipated game kicks off at Ba’s Market Ground at 3pm.
