NOT a single complaint was made by any of the Nai Lalakai readers about a letter that was published in the said newspaper on April 27, 2016.

This was highlighted by Suva lawyer, Devanesh Sharma while addressing the assessors in the Fiji Times sedition case in the High Court in Suva today.

Mr Sharma who is representing the Nai Lalakai editor Anare Ravula said the only complaint in regards to the letter was by the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs permanent secretary Naipote Katonitabua who was the first prosecution witness in the trial.

“One of the things that you need to be aware of as finders of fact is, what impact this letter had on the readership of the Nai Lalakai,” Mr Sharma asked.

He however said that the impact was zero.

The trial continues.
