THOUSANDS of Nadi residents were turned away from the HOMES-CARE assistance station at Prince Charles Park this morning.
The frustrated and angry residents were told by Social Welfare Department officials that their applications would be processed at a later date.
The officers announced to the packed crowd that their team were delayed in Sigatoka.
Many of the residents had been waiting from 8pm last night and slept in their cars and on mats to be the first in line.
