THE Westpac Vodafone Nadi Airport International Volleyball Festival will feature a total of 804 games in just one day, says tournament organiser Jo Gray.

He commended his hardworking committee members for their tireless effort in hosting the biggest volleyball competition in the South Pacific.

Four more organisations have joined bring the total of business houses to 84 and featuring 214 teams.

Gray said they had also made arrangements with the Water Authority of Fiji as there would be water cuts in Nadi and Lautoka on game day.

“Preparations are well underway and we are looking forward to a great tournament,” he said.

“It is all good from the Water Authority and we have been assured of their support to have water tanks at the game venue.

“We commend all organisations for their support and this year’s event is going to be bigger and better as the committee is tirelessly working to deliver the best.”

This year’s event will be boosted with the presence of the Laughing Samoans on Friday.

“The committee members are ready to roll with the program starting with the Laughing Samoans followed by the team parade.

“I am overwhelmed by the hard work of the committee and also the kind sponsors of Westpac and Vodafone and other organisations to deliver one of the biggest games in Fiji and in the South Pacific and hopefully we can match the world record for staging the biggest volleyball tournament.”

The games will be held at Mount Saint Mary’s School ground in Nadi on Saturday.
