Update: 6:38PM NADI has untapped potential that we could market internationally and by virtue of having a national or international sports stadium will certainly bring in huge economic benefits.
Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) president Dr Ram Raju made this comment in support of Fiji’s bid to host an HSBC tournament come 2020.
“Nadi certainly has the capacity and resources to match any other legs of the series. I’m absolutely certain that all the business houses in Nadi and elsewhere will rally and render all the support necessary to win the bid,” Dr Raju said in a statement.
He said sevens rugby was synonymous with a special brand for Fiji that NCCI supported together with many brands such as Fiji Water.
“Prince Charles Park can be further developed into a top international sports stadium not only for this purpose but to attract many other international sports and events such as international entertainment programs such as Bollywood shows.”
