THE nine young women competing for the title of Miss Sugar Festival commenced with their community engagements today.

Earlier this afternoon the contestants were treated to afternoon tea at the Amalgamated Pest Control office where they also had an opportunity to speak to members of the business community.

They also visited the Legalega Research Station this morning.
