Medical officers enhance knowledge on TB

Update: 3:47PM SEVENTEEN workshop participants, including medical officers and nursing practitioners from the Tuberculosis Control Unit in the North, enhanced their knowledge on screening and handling of TB patients today.

Speaking at the TB Manual Training for Health Care Workers in Labasa, nurse practitioner for the North TB Unit Nanise Ratuvou said the training was a familiarisation workshop. 

Ms Ratuvou said this was the first training of trainers workshop to be conducted in the North. 

“We are planning to roll out this workshop to Cakaudrove, Taveuni next year. Participants learn about history taking, confirmation of cases and their management during the three-day workshop,” she said.
