Update: 3:45PM THE Fiji Media Watch group will be conducting a workshop on media monitoring from January 23-25 at the HART conference room in Valelevu, Nasinu.
The main focus of this workshop is to train members of the community to conduct critical media monitoring.
Acting director Laitia Tamata said FMW hoped to expand its pool of media monitors in the months to come as Fiji geared up for the 2018 general elections.
The workshop will focus on topics such as analysing new scientific methods for media monitoring processes, giving the power back to the people and citizens through media monitoring, and also assist in developing research topics from the forms of media being monitored for advocacy.
